About Dr. Hendrix
Dr. Jason Hendrix, DO, graduated from Pacific Lutheran University located in Tacoma, WA with Bachelor degrees in both biology and chemistry. His love of the sciences and a desire to help others inspired him to pursue a medical degree. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now named A.T. Still University). While in medical school, Dr. Hendrix received the prestigious President’s Leadership and Scholarship Award.
Dr. Hendrix’s interest in Dermatology is a result of his significant exposure to the field of dermatology during his residency. He participated in a three-year American Board of Physician Specialty Dermatology Program (ABPS) and did a preceptorship in Pittsburgh, PA. He then started at Reading Dermatology Associates in Reading, PA. Due to Dr. Hendrix’s enhanced training and his strong surgical background, he is especially adept in the treatment of diseases of the skin and all dermatological conditions.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Hendrix served in the United States Navy where he learned perseverance, hard work and compassion. This experience helped him develop the necessary qualities to become the physician he is today. He states, “I am dedicated to providing the best medical, dermatological, and cosmetic care while serving the best interest of my patients. I particularly pride myself on patient satisfaction and loyalty.”
Dr. Hendrix is married to Amy, a nurse practitioner of dermatology.

About Amy Hendrix, CRNP
Amy Hendrix worked at Northwest Dermatology while earning her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Madonna University in Livonia, MI. It was during this time she realized her desire to specialize in dermatology. She continued to work there for one year as a Registered Nurse. Although she loved dermatology, she knew that she would enhance her career and knowledge of medicine by experiencing the hospital environment. After seven years as an intensive care (ICU) nurse at both Providence Hospital and Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, she desired to further her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Phoenix. Amy became proficient at balancing her work as a fulltime nurse, mother, nurse practitioner student, and nursing school professor at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI.
She then worked at a private dermatology practice in Bloomfield Hills, MI where she gained further experience in treating disorders of the skin, hair and nails-medically, surgically and cosmetically. Amy furthered her dermatology training in Pittsburgh, PA for one year before taking permanent residence in Reading, PA. Amy quotes, “With intensive attention to detail, my goal is perfection in medical as well as cosmetic results and patient happiness.”
Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and is an avid tennis player.

Dr. John V. LaManna is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist providing health care services in Reading, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1977, has over 45 years of diverse experiences in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and is a member of the family of providers at Reading Dermatology Associates in West Lawn, PA.

About Jamie LaPorte, PA-C
Jamie is a board certified physician assistant who is licensed to practice dermatology in the state of Pennsylvania. She is able to accommodate patients of all skin types, ages and conditions. She strongly urges patients to be vigilant about mole changes and recommends yearly full skin exams to all patients.

Alexandra Schaeffer, PA-C, is a highly skilled Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Lock Haven University and earned her Master of Physician Assistant studies from Mercyhurst University. With a solid foundation in patient care and clinical practice. Alexandra has developed a strong passion for both general and preventative dermatology, focusing on comprehensive skin health for all ages infant to the elderly. Prior to transitioning to dermatology, she gained valuable experience working in orthopedics, where she honed in her diagnostic and treatment skills. Alexandra is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care to her patients with excellent outcomes.
Ali is married, has one daughter and enjoys reading books and spending time with her family.
Kara C. Noon
Kara C. Noon, CRNP, holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Villanova University as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her clinical training includes palliative care, internal medicine, cardiology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation within the Main Line Health system. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University and was selected for a competitive study-abroad program at NYU Florence, where she examined healthcare disparities between the United States and Europe.
Kara currently practices as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in gastroenterology and dermatology, providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care. Prior experience includes roles as a Registered Nurse in internal medicine, medical ICU, and cardiothoracic step-down units, caring for critically ill and post–cardiac surgery patients. She holds CRNP licensure in Pennsylvania, RN licensure in Pennsylvania and New York, and BLS and ACLS certifications, with additional leadership and volunteer service in COVID-19 vaccination clinics and community health initiatives.
Kara enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, and reading.
